What data we collect, why, and what we do with it.
Summary
Calculator inputs are processed entirely in your browser and never leave your device. Optional newsletter sign-up and any future account features collect only what is necessary to operate the service.
Newsletter
When you subscribe via any form on the site, we store your email address and the source form. The data is held in a Supabase database (eu-west-2 region). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email; on unsubscribe your row is deleted.
Future accounts
When optional user accounts launch, sign-up will require an email address and a password. Saved protocols, stacks and calculations are visible only to the account that created them (enforced at the database row-level).
Analytics
The calculator pages do not run any third-party analytics or advertising scripts. Aggregate server logs may be retained for up to 30 days for operational debugging.
Cookies
The site uses a single first-party storage entry (localStorage.theme) to remember your dark/light mode preference. No tracking cookies are set.
Accounts & saved data
When you create a free account we store your email, a hashed password (managed by our auth provider), and any calculator inputs, stacks or notes you choose to save. Saved calculations remain private to you unless you explicitly mark a stack as public — public stacks are accessible only via the long, unguessable share token in the URL.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, port or erase any personal data we hold. Two self-service controls are available on Account → Data & deletion:
- Export my data downloads a JSON file containing your profile, saved calculations and saved stacks — generated in your browser, nothing transmitted off-site.
- Delete my account permanently removes your account, profile and all saved material (public stacks included). This action cannot be undone.
